The treatment of lipoedema is a multidisciplinary issue involving the fields of vascular surgery, lymphology and phlebology.

Before any procedure or treatment for lipoedema, it is essential to assess the patient’s condition using diagnostic methods and select the appropriate treatment accordingly.

Thanks to the comprehensive nature of our facility, we are able to help clients with lipoedema and provide precise and effective treatment.

At our clinic, the lipoedema assessment includes an initial consultation and, where necessary, an ultrasound scan. The initial consultation lasts approximately 30 minutes.

If venous insufficiency is present, a vascular surgeon will treat this before commencing treatment for lipoedema.

The lipoedema treatment itself is carried out using a water-jet-based device. This is a gentle technique which, using a water jet, separates the problematic fat from the surrounding tissues and then suctions it away.

A maximum of one area (thighs, calves or arms) can be treated in a single session. If treatment of multiple areas is required, it is advisable to repeat the procedure.

We carry out the procedure under general anaesthetic. After the procedure, you will need to stay at our clinic for one night and wear special compression garments. Provided everything is fine, one follow-up appointment after a week is sufficient. Recovery is quick and does not restrict your daily activities.
